Vary Light Intensity
Reynard Corporation offers gradient / variable coatings where the density or pattern can be customized to vary the light intensity from 100% to < 0.1% across the substrate. These types of coatings are designed to attenuate light as the filter is translated or rotated and are compatible with broadband and single-band applications. Large apertures can be achieved by translating or rotating two gradient / variable filters in opposite directions.
These coatings come in a variety of configurations and can be designed to operate from the UV to IR. Filter configurations including: Bullseye® Apodizing, Linear Apodizing, Circular Variable Neutral Density, Circular Variable Neutral Transmission, Linear Variable Neutral Density and Linear Variable Neutral Transmission.
Custom prototypes to volume production are available.
