Reynard offers Diamond Point Turning (DPT) and Magnetorheological Finishing (MRF) in-house capabilities. DPT and MRF are complementary technologies often used in tandem for manufacturing high-precision optical components. We produce 6mm to 800mm diameter high-quality precision optics for the aerospace, military and commercial industries.
Our QED Q-Flex 100 offers precision optics manufacturing benefits like improved surface quality, increased laser damage resistance, removal of subsurface damage, and ability to correct complex forms (aspheres, freeforms), all through flexible modular Magnetorheological Finishing (MRF) technology for higher throughput, better repeatability, and reduced costs by speeding up process changes and simplifying operations.
Our Nanoforms, Ultra Precision Machining Systems by Precitech are used for the diamond turning multi-stage process to achieve sub-nanometer level surface finishes and sub-micrometer form accuracies. Diamond Turning enables the machining of optics with complex geometries not achievable through other machining capabilities at an economical price.
