Reynard is a global company located in the USA that complies and adheres to the applicable environmental regulations and laws that are necessary for a company to do business all over the world. RoHs, REACH, and Prop 65 are regulations that restrict the use of hazardous chemicals and substances in products and the environment. Below, you will find additional information regarding RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65.
RoHS
Reynard focuses on manufacturing the highest quality optical products to meet the needs of our customers. Reynard’s standard products comply with the EU RoHS 3 Directive 2015/863. Our products are compliant with the legislation having less than 0.1% by weight each of lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP and 0.01% by weight of cadmium.
REACH
We hereby self-declare that the thin film coated optical components manufactured by Reynard are fully compliant “Articles” within the definitions and requirements of European Union REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
Products manufactured and sold by Reynard do not contain any of the listed substances outside of the corresponding restrictions as is defined REACH Annex XVII, Restricted Substance List 2021.
This declaration is to confirm that the products manufactured by Reynard meet the requirement of the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) specified below in the table of 211 substances from REACH regulation announced by the EU effective January 19, 2021.
Reynard works to fully comply with requirements concerning the Registration, Evaluation, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) aiming to protect the environment and human health from risks that chemicals present. Reynard Corporation continuously monitors the yearly updates of chemicals listed and strives to meet these regulations.
Prop 65
Reynard is committed to meeting all product safety requirements applicable to our products, including California’s Proposition 65 (Prop 65) standard to provide a warning to customers if they are exposed to certain chemicals above the legal threshold.
