Wedge prisms are made from fine annealed grade A BK-7 glass. Each surface is polished flat and tilted to each other at a specific angle. Precise beam deviation can be achieved by placing two wedges in series and rotating each wedge to each other, then rotating the wedges assembly. BK-7 glass will transmit from 350nm to 2500nm. Wedges can also be made out of UV Fused Silica and IR materials to operate at other wavelengths.
