Infrared Product Engineer

Job Description:

Reynard Corporation is a high performance optical thin film coating facility, looking to add an experienced Infrared Product Engineer to our team.  This driven individual shall be capable of providing technical expertise and support in the design and manufacturing of infrared (2um-20um) thin film coatings and filters from concept through implementation and final validation.

Ideal candidate will have the following background and skills:

  • 10+ years experience in infrared optical thin film coating engineering
  • Experience in deposition methods required to produce low-defect infrared coatings
  • Conceptual mechancial design
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical process control (SPC) concepts and methods
  • Ability to troubleshoot and root cause analysis
  • Team oriented postive attitude
  • Working and participating with an ISO9001:2008 based Quality Management System


  • MS degree (preferably PhD) in related Engineering discipline
